    1. Enter Spain

    To enter Spain, all travelers from the age of 12, including those traveling by land, must be in possession of one of the following documents:

    A recent negative NAAT (PCR, TMA, LAMP, …) or antigen test result. The test must be carried out within 48 hours before arrival in Spain;
    A vaccination certificate, for travelers who have already been fully vaccinated with a vaccine recognized by the European Medicines Agency (EMA) or the World Health Organization (WHO). The certificate must have been issued at least 14 days after the administration of the last dose. Travelers who have been fully vaccinated no longer need to present a test result;
    A recovery certificate. The certificate must mention a positive NAAT test result from no more than 180 days ago.

    All certificates must be written in French, German, English or Spanish. If it is not possible to obtain the certificate in one of these languages, a Spanish translation by an official body can be added.

    The EU Digital COVID Certificate is also already accepted by the Spanish authorities. If you are traveling with this Certificate, indicate in the FCS form that you have the digital EU COVID Certificate and fill in the rest of the data.

    If you are traveling with your international vaccination certificate (yellow card), a translation into Spanish by an official body will not be necessary. If applicable, indicate in the FCS form that you do not have the EU Digital COVID Certificate and fill in the rest of the data.

    Spanish authorities require all travelers entering Spain by plane to complete an FSC form (Formulario de Control Sanitario or Health Control Form). This form can be completed on the following website at any time before the start of the trip. However, the part of the form containing health questions can only be completed within 48 hours of arrival in Spain. After completing and signing the entire document, the traveler will receive a QR code. Then, upon arrival at the destination Spanish airport, the QR code will be checked.

    You will find all the conditions for traveling to the Canary Islands on this page from the Government of the Canary Islands.

    The border posts between Morocco and the enclaves of Ceuta and Melilla remain closed by Spain for the time being. No exceptions to this closure are accepted.

    2. Mesures restrictives en Espagne

    It is the Autonomous Communities that decide what restrictions are imposed on their territory.

    An important measure is in force throughout Spain: indoors, wearing a mask in public places is compulsory for anyone over the age of 6, except:

    • if it is likely to aggravate existing breathing problems,
    • for other medical reasons (sufficiently documented) for which wearing a mask is contraindicated,
    • if behavioral changes caused by a disability or addiction make it impossible to wear a mask,
    • during activities incompatible with wearing a mask,
    • force majeure or situations of necessity.
    • However, the mask is no longer mandatory in public places outside.

    In particular, the following restrictions may be in force in certain Autonomous Communities:

    Limitations in catering or nightclubs;
    The digital EU COVID Certificate (“pasaporte COVID”) as a condition for access to certain events or establishments.
    For all the concrete measures that concern you, you should therefore consult the information made available by the authorities of your autonomous community of destination.
